Today is unoffical 'go broke' day.....yep, pretty am....have discovered that apparently no one in this city is trying to do anything about our skyrocketing water bills with the ever increasing EPA fees....NOW the EPA fees EXCEED the water/sewage usage! it WAS equal to it, but now EXCEEDS it....in my research last evening i discovered that apparently the city will be QUADRUPLING these fees over time....hello??? anyone home in akron???? who the fuck can afford a $300+ water bill?????????? that's what it is going to end up being and people are la ti da-ing and no one is doing anything....grrrrrrrrrrr.....yes i know, i'm on it.....i have letter drafts already started.....
magical mystery tour and i'll start writing about this but i might have to stop cuz i gotta go up to miss ellie's for her son to get a couple screws out of my craft light that is currently FUCKED....FUCK!!!!!!!!!!! i canNOT afford to buy another one!!!!!!!!! hopefully i can fix this....mind you i have no skill at all in electrical things and am quite terrified of all things electrical BUT i just need to tighten the socket so the bulb isn't touching the cover and i can't get the damn screws holding the cover in place out.....i've stripped them and stabbed myself in the thigh....i also could not find a philips screwdriver...yes, the damn goblin.....
anyway....tour wise....dollar general...they still had the 7# bags of cat litter on sale for .75 each so i bought out their supply....all 28 of 'em and got a box of allergy pills....had a $5 off 25 coupon too....so it was like $22 something....the cashier asked why i was getting 7# bags today as she knows i always get the 20# bags and i told her about the sale and how i waited til today for the $5 off coupon and then she mentioned how some people don't like the $5 off coupons! WHAT?!?!??! i mean you aren't FORCED to use it!!!! she said it made no sense to her either....why not stock up on something and get something basically free? EXACTLY!!
and she only asked me how many bags i had and the woman behind in line asked why she didn't count them and she said i was a regular costumer and would come back in if i had miscounted (true, i've done that)....i don't think the lady behind me was pleased....i suppose she wouldn't been pleased if i had taken all 28 bags out to be scanned separately???
then went up to klein's to get just one drug today and that was a total cost of $0! definitely like this new prescription insurance plan!!
off to jo-ann's....i am seriously addicted to UK cross stitch magazines....OMG! they are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! i know i've said it before, but FUCK, they are awesome!!!! one of 'em came with 6 big metal buttons and the kit to cross stitch button covers!!! another had a booklet with 35 different woodland creature patterns....one i got a few weeks ago had a complete kit inside!!! so not only do you get awesome patterns inside, you get FREE STUFF!!!!! so so soooooooo worth the price!!!!!
uh, yeah, i obviously got a couple UK cross stitch mags today....i simply could not pass them up....then i had to get one each of every color floss for my big honkin' project---well i got 2 each of 3 colors.....got a pack of needles too....and since i own a sewing machine now i had seen they had mccall's patterns on sale for $1 each and i had searched mccall patterns online for simple things and found 3 that i wanted to get and got those.....
oooo....you didn't notice, but i went and got my craft light fixed!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! miss ellie's son got it fixed!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!
back to jo-ann's.....checking out and the check out girl said she did most all crafts except cross stitching....i said i did cross stitching but really no other crafts though i had just gotten a sewing machine...she was looking at the UK cross stitch mag though and thought she'd pick one of them up.....
left there and went to rite aid to pick up muffyne's thyroid medication....then giant eagle to get some tia rations because i was still somewhat low and didn't have enough til food stamp day and i also got some canned cat food i had a rain check for....encountered a lady also buying the friskies canned cat food and she said it was expensive and i told her about getting a rain check when it was on sale and that they didn't expire....she liked that idea a lot....she fed stray cats and took them to get fixed---trap neuter release for the ferals and if they were friendly she found them homes----unlike KOOK!!!!! grrr......
then went and put $30 worth of gas in the van.....home to unload and start the trips up and down the steps.....of course muffyne needed a can and he refused to go up on his own volition too.....had to carry him up....
after i ate i looked at the patterns quickly....i got 2 different patterns for bags---figuring they can be used to hold crafts, one has a laptop holder pattern....and the other one has patterns for a sewing machine apron, accessory holder, etc.....will do the most simple one first (sometimes my brain works!!!!)....and will put what i need on my list for sunday at jo-ann's when those other coupons become valid.....
have to host the tia zone at 7pm, so i don't think i will get much stitching done at all today....grrrrrrr......i could stitch without the craft light, but that is hard on my eyes to do that....i might have to do it anyway to get some stitching done!!! cannot go a day without stitching!
last night at bedtime, muffyne did NOT want a second can!!!! i am so used to him wanting a second can he threw me off!!!! little bugger!!!
All cuz the mayor said 'fuck you' to the EPA for 20+ years. Yes, we apparently have a mayor for life in this city who has run this city into the ground but the masses keep re-electing him. Ugh.
and what is SCARY about our mayor and his cronies in his administration---they are all democrats!!! but they put old school republicans to SHAME with their spending, their shell games with public funds, flying all over the world on our dime, staying in expensive hotels, etc....THEY claim the administration is being investigated by the feds, a political buddy of his was brought in and convicted of federal charges by the feds up in cuyahoga county but nothing so far in my city and i've seen stuff that he should have charged with years ago!!! he has broken so many rules of law it's almost awe inspiring that he has gotten away with so much for so long, but then you realize it's all illegal, it's cost the city MILLIONS and ultimately we all pay....as we are with the EPA!!! you don't tell a federal agency to FUCK OFF! nor do you have a press conference attacking a federal judge!!!!!
we tried to recall this mayor in 2009 and instead the mayor did his usual tactic, had the most visible people in the recall attacked publicly via the city newspaper---which he uses as his own personal press (they won't print anything against him)....i was even included in that and had an article written about me making fun of me for legally changing my name due to the fact my parents tortured me as a child and it seriously affected me continuing to use that last name, they also made fun of me for having PTSD and not being able to handle going to classes at KSU 5 days a week (That's when i had gone back to finish my degree) and it was just HORRIBLE....though i had to say the comments on that article attacked the author 99 to 1 for writing about me in that manner and i was very humbled by the support.....
this city is really screwed up!! i LOVE my house and neighborhood (though it doesn't seem like it at times....but since michelle is dead and gone and her house is empty that took away 90% of the problems here...now just gotta have the assholes leave and have rocky dealt with, which will be easy to do once i get ahold of the guy who owns the house next to me....) but how many people are gonna be forced OUT when they get monthly bills for $300?????? of which 250 would be EPA mandate fees???????????????????
